Day 10 is off to a great start! Personal training done, conversation with one kid (the other is still asleep) and plans for the day down on paper. Old school. In the way of the 24 Day Challenge, everything started with probiotics and Cataylst (amino acid blend) which is followed later by fiber drink and an excellent breakfast made by the Man @m4munson! Eggs with salsa, bacon and half an apple. Let’s roll, Wednesday! #notricks #simplehealth #easyfood #motivation #guthealth #24daychallenge #advocare #fitover40 #fitlife #breakfast #paleo #blog

Day 9 of my 24 Day Challenge went a little sideways. I left the house at 7:30, got home by 11:40 but still had another hour before I could head inside to eat…breakfast. Yes, breakfast after noon. So probiotics when I got up but fiber drink didn’t happen until about 12:45 with half a small grapefruit and about 30 minutes later the last of the meat sauce from last week. Dinner was spicy chicken (I’ll get the recipe posted, Shannan!), string beans and a small-ish salad. No my food wasn’t evenly spaced out over the course of the day. Did I get it all done? Yes. Did I have issues with energy today due to this unplanned intermittent fasting? Nope. No dragging, no cloudy thinking. I was firing on all cylinders. A Spark in the morning (Green Apple) and a Spark in the afternoon (Pink Lemonade) plus clean eating and all is rocking! Tomorrow starts considerably earlier so there’s no telling when I’ll eat breakfast but it’s all good! One more day is left on the first part – the gut health phase – of the Challenge. #blog #paleo #grainfree #glutenfree #fitlife #fitover40 #advocare #24daychallenge #guthealth #munsonfamily #motivation #easyfood #simplehealth #notricks

The finish of Day 8 of our AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge was crockpot roast with sweet potatoes and onions. Matt prepped the veggies on Sunday, Alyx set the whole thing up in the crockpot Monday morning. Dinner was ready when I got home. 4 of us ate and there are left overs for lunches. Easy peasy! #advocare #easyfood #24daychallenge #cleaneating #healthylife #fitover40 #fitlife #munsonfamily #glutenfree #grainfree #paleo #blog

So Alyx, bless her, gets an attack of the sweet tooth now and then and today was a great day because I was also hit with a a sweet tooth attack! These little gems were made by combining melted chocolate chips, almond butter, finely shredded (no sugar added) coconut and chocolate Muscle Gain protein powder. Mix, scoop, refrigerate. Done. #advocare #24daychallenge #fitlife #fitover40 #fitmom #healthylife #cleaneating #grainfree #cleansnack #snacks #blog

And Day 7 of our most recent AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge is done! We started the day with some weight lifting, then a 15-ish minute workout and followed it up with a custom shake that Matt mixed up with Muscle Gain, Post Workout Recovery, Fiber Drink, mixed berries, coconut milk and ice. Split amongst the four of us (varying for size) and we were covered for breakfast. Then Matt and I were off to work on a gym install for a couple of hours. Back home for lunch we had soft tacos in corn tortillas with ground meat he made a couple of days ago and lettuce, guacamole and salsa. All around this is super simple food with no added sugars, flavoring, preservatives or extra scary stuff. The goal with dinner was to use the Brussels Sprouts and otherwise empty out the fridge. That there are left overs for Matt to take to lunch tomorrow is a big bonus. Dinner ended up having the Brussels Sprouts, chicken breast, rotisserie chicken and carrots all dumped in together with garlic pepper and some other seasoning blends. It was tasty and simple and uses up those last bits here and there rather than throw them away. Eating clean does not have to be expensive! The Challenge systematizes and takes the confusion out of eating. Here’s the other thing that doing a 24 Day Challenge does for you…it keeps you on track for 24 Days! This weekend we were on the road and out of our routine. We would have LOVED to have done our normal and said road food doesn’t count but we are on a Challenge. Good stuff! #blog #grainfree #paleo #positivechanges #cleaneating #healthylife #fitmom #fitover40 #fitlife #24daychallenge #advocare

Winnah…winnah…chicken dinnah! Day 6 of our AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge finished with Alyx’s spicy baked chicken, carrots with butter, garlic and pepper and a simple salad of mixed greens, tomatoes and guacamole. I know folks misunderstand paleo as low carb but we eat more carbs on a challenge than off. (Hint: fruits and veggies are carbs) Herbal detox tablets at bedtime and done. #24daychallenge #advocare #munsonfamily #fitlife #fitover40 #fitmom #healthylife #cleaneating #positivechanges #paleo #glutenfree #grainfree #blog

We’re in AT&T Stadium at AdvoCare’s 2015 Success School. There are over 20,000 people here. It’s a lot of people but it is only a fraction of the number of people signed up in AdvoCare. One of the best features of AdvoCare, in my opinion, is that there are multiple ways to be involved. The vast majority of people who sign up in AdvoCare sign up simply for a discount on the products they use. Who wouldn’t? There are other direct sales companies that have products I like, that I would like more at a discount but they don’t offer a non-business building option. I don’t have interest in buying a minimum amount of products every month. None. So this weekend, in the world of AdvoCare, is about helping the ones who are interested in creating a secondary income and doing something bigger than simply get great products at a discount. Neither way is more right than the other but these options are one of the many reasons we love being involved with this business in particular. #positivity #fitmom #blog #fitover40 #advocare #bettereveryday #munsonfamily #positivelife
